Vinsanto, being aged in oak barrels for 16 years and carrying all the love and devotion of the Hatzidakis Family for this unique and famous Santorinian dessert wine.
Grapes, 80% Assyrtiko and 20% Aidani, that were sundried with care for 10 to 15 days were the raw material for this exquisite wine that we believe captures the essence of the islands traditional winemaking technique and Hatzidakis Philosophy. Patiently aged for 16 years in barrels of 225lt capacity and bottled unfiltered. Organoleptic characteristics:
Deep amber color with toffee shades, intense dried fruit aromas such as raisins, honey and butter caramel of mineral character. Full and velvety mouth with a sweetness that balances the refreshing acidity. Long aftertaste of candied orange peels.
Serving suggestion:
On its own or paired with bitter chocolate, oriental sweets but also with foie gras and strong cheeses, blue cheese.
Suggested serving temperature: at 12 °C. It can be aged for more than 30 years.
